Andrea Naghi

Dr Andrea A. Naghi is Associate Professor in Econometrics and Data Science at Queen Mary University of London. Prior to joining Queen Mary, she was Assistant Professor in Econometrics at Erasmus University Rotterdam. She received her PhD from the University of Warwick (UK).

Her research lies at the intersection of econometrics and causal machine learning, with a focus on developing and applying data-driven methods to address complex economic and social questions. Her work has been published in leading international journals, including Nature Communications, The Econometrics Journal, and the Journal of Applied Econometrics.

Dr Naghi has been awarded several prestigious research grants as Principal Investigator, including a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship (€170,000) and the United Nations – Sustainable Development Goals Funds (€240,000). She has held visiting research positions at the University of California San Diego, the European Central Bank, and CUNEF University in Madrid, and has extensive teaching experience in econometrics and data science at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
