Cătălina-Lucia Cocianu

Cătălina-Lucia Cocianu graduated from the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics Program in 1995. In 1997 she received her MSc degree in Mathematics, Operating Systems and Parallel Computing. She received the PhD degree in Cybernetics and Economic Statistics from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies in 2002, and in 2009 a PhD degree in Information Sciences (Magna cum Laude) from the University of Pitești.

She is a Professor, PhD, currently working with the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Faculty of Economic Cybernetics, Statistics and Informatics, Department of Economic Informatics and Cybernetics. Her research interests include machine learning, deep learning, statistical pattern recognition, digital image processing, data mining, evolutionary computing, and programming algorithms. She has authored 20 books and more than 100 papers published in national and international journals and conference proceedings.
